"My work in photography focuses on highlighting subtle beauty and naturally occurring connections. Emphasizing specific elements reveals the poetic aspects of everyday life. Birds, branches, sky, and water frequently help tell the story. Pigment-based ink and 100% cotton rag fiber paper provide rich depth and texture to the finished prints.

My process, rooted in a generational appreciation of nature and art, begins as meditative. Time spent on regular walks through the woods during childhood is foundational to my practice. Visits to Door County art studios, especially the Robert L. Pence Gallery, had a formative influence on my work. When exploring natural environments, I strive to remain open to the signals within and around me. Ultimately, the choice of subjects to photograph is intuitive."
