    Exhibition: Winter's Garden

“The Riverfront Arts Center joyfully invites the Stevens Point community to the celebration of our annual juried show, Winter’s Garden.

In this year's showcase, not only did we welcome a diverse array of artwork submissions, but we also applauded the botanical contributions from plant enthusiasts and creative floral artists. The Winter's Garden exhibition expertly curates a unified display by seamlessly integrating live or dried flower compositions in vases and botanicals rooted in soil with the featured artworks.” (press release)

I’m grateful for the opportunity to exhibit my image Voices Whisper — photographed in Schmeeckle Reserve in Stevens Point, WI — among this diverse range of artwork and botanicals.

    Exhibition: 78th Art Annual

“The 78th Art Annual exhibit is an all-media, juried exhibition of current artworks produced by artists living in the counties of Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. A total of 54 artworks by regional artists are represented in this show juried by Emily Schlemowitz.

This juried art exhibition began in 1942 during the height of World War II. For over three-quarters of a century, many of this region’s most celebrated and talented artists have exhibited their work as part of this Green Bay tradition.

'The submissions to the Neville’s all-media call were powerful and exquisitely crafted. Jurying such an exhibition was difficult and challenging. As a fiber arts curator, I brought to this task an attention to the artist’s amalgamation of material, gesture, and tools. All of the works selected are expressions of the artist’s desire to communicate through their hands and chosen mediums. I thank the museum for inviting me to judge its 78th addition of this exhibition. The breadth of artistry in this region is strong.' -- Emily Schlemowitz"

    Exhibition: Art of Water VII

“James May Gallery is pleased to present the 7th annual Art of Water, a juried water-themed art exhibition. This free event focuses on conservation and protection of water, inspired by Lake Michigan. The event started in 2017 in Algoma, WI in response to water concerns in Kewaunee County and continues to attract artists from around the country in a dialogue about the necessity and beauty of water. This year brings together over 100 regional and national artists celebrating our most vital resource. Art of Water believes water can attract and beckon us, and endanger us. The hope is to celebrate the beauty and necessity of water in our lives so that we can better protect it.” (press release)

I’m excited to announce my image Memory and Possibility — of Eagle Harbor in Door County, WI — is included in Art of Water VII.
